Reading by Glyn Maxwell, who is joined by rising star Maitreyabandhu. Introduced by Editor Fiona Sampson.
Poetry Review, now in its centenary year, is one of the most widely read and respected poetry magazines in Britain today. The latest issue sees poets respond to environmental, social, political and personal changes in Our Disappearing World.
Applauded both sides of the Atlantic for his stylish versatility, Maxwell is often described as Auden’s heir. Collections such as Rest for the Wicked, The Breakage and Hide Now have seen him shortlisted for the Eliot, Whitbread and Forward prizes.
The Geoffrey Dearmer Prize, an award for a poem published in Poetry Review by a poet who is yet to release a first collection, will also be presented.
